8 Stores and Brands for Great Plus Size Options

The plus size clothing selection is so much better than before. I remember writing a post over a decade ago about how there was very little for stores and brands that were barely going over sizes 16 and 18! Shoutout to all the innovators and underground designers that started catering to plus size women that big brands didn’t have a chance but to catch on!

Most of the retailers below you may be familiar with, others you’ll want to get acquainted! Although, these brands might not be for plus size but many of them go up to 2X-4X sizes! Let's jump into the list!

H&M- H&M is the first place I turn to when I need to add something into my wardrobe. In my opinion, they have the good quality clothing for a great price. I rarely feel like I waste money when I shop with them.

Don’t forget that it is sustainable fashion! Meaning that H&M does their due diligence on making sure the landfills aren’t being covered with clothes. Recycling at its best.

Skims- I was sleeping on Skims for a bit but I purchased a maxi dress to wear for my anniversary dinner and was impressed by the quality and the length. One purchase led to another, which led to another. You can expect their size guide to go up to size 4XL!

Jluxlabel - One of my favorite bodycon skirts is from here. I love how many of their items have thick elastic and are lined with the same fabric so its not easy to see through. Fashion Nova- Fashion Nova may come off as the internet version of Rainbow, but you can come across some really good stuff once you get past the clubwear items. Their basics of bodysuits, jumpsuits, and leggings get the job done.

Iccon- The owner Cris makes you want to buy from this brand alone, but her pieces are so simple but sexy. I haven’t personally purchased from her yet but I’m looking forward to making my first purchase. The representation of her models being all shapes and sizes have me confident in investing in a few things.

Irregular Exposure- Nothing is basic about this brand! I love how they take your normal sweatsuits and pant suits to create all kinds of cut outs, splits, and lengths. They're sizes go up to XXL and they are tall girl friendly! Be sure to check out for their new collection that has just came out!

Bares of Matron- I’m being biased again. Be sure to check on my brand Bares of Matron that is super comfy and convenient! We have the cutest pajama onesies, robe, and knitted socks perfect for this cold weather we’ve been having lately. It is Texas though, but go ahead get your items for next season!

The inclusion in brands make my heart smile! To be honest brands knew it was time to move with the time. Shoutout to brands like Savage X Fenty and influential people like Lizzo that challenge the norm and continue to put the plus-size community in the forefront. As a stylist and a full sized woman myself, I always look forward to wants to come in the plus-size category in fashion.
